Our Purpose
A School That Refuses to Separate Faith from Learning
Stephenville Christian Academy was founded on a conviction shared by the families it serves: that God's truth does not stop at the church door or the front door of the home. It belongs in the classroom too — and not as an afterthought, but as the organizing principle of everything.
We exist for parents who believe that what their children learn and how they are formed during their school years matters deeply. We exist for families who are tired of sending their children into an environment that treats faith as irrelevant — and who want something better.
SCA is a small school by intention. We are not trying to be the largest school in Stephenville — we are trying to be the most faithful. Faithful to God, to the families who trust us, and to the students entrusted to our care.

Mission
To Integrate Biblical Faith and Learning
The mission of Stephenville Christian Academy is to provide a Christ-centered education that integrates biblical faith and learning — equipping students to think clearly, live faithfully, and serve others for the glory of God.
That phrase — integrate biblical faith and learning — is the heartbeat of everything we do. It means that the Christian faith is not a subject we teach on certain days. It is the organizing principle of the entire school. Every discipline, every assignment, every conversation points back to God and His purposes.
We are not trying to produce students who can quote Bible verses in science class. We are trying to produce students who understand that God is the author of all truth — and who approach every area of learning with that conviction intact.

Our vision is to graduate young men and women who love God with all their heart, mind, soul, and strength — who are academically prepared, morally grounded, and ready to make a lasting difference wherever God calls them.
The world will offer our students many competing answers to the questions of identity and purpose. SCA's goal is to give them a foundation so firm that those competing voices cannot shake it — and a community of faith that holds them accountable to it.
We want graduates who do not merely survive the pressures of their generation — but who have the conviction, the character, and the competence to lead well within it, for the good of others and the glory of God.

These principles are not marketing language. They are the convictions that govern our hiring decisions, our curriculum choices, our disciplinary approach, and our relationship with every family in this school. We hold ourselves accountable to them — and we invite our families to do the same.
Scripture as Foundation
All of life and learning flows from the Word of God. Every subject is taught in the light of Scripture — not because we add a verse to a lesson, but because God is the author of all truth, and His Word gives that truth its meaning and its direction.
Academic Excellence
We pursue academic rigor because we serve a God who is worthy of our best effort. Students are challenged to think carefully, study diligently, and develop the discipline that prepares them for college, vocation, and a lifetime of faithful work.
Whole-Person Formation
Education is not the transfer of information — it is the formation of a person. SCA invests in the intellectual, spiritual, emotional, and social development of every student, because God made each one whole, not just as a mind.
Partnership with Parents

Character Before Credential

Mathematics reflects the order and logic of God's creation. History is the unfolding of His providence. Literature explores the human condition in light of His Word. Science investigates the world He made. At SCA, no subject is secular — every discipline is an opportunity to know God better.
Chapel, Prayer, and Scripture
Regular chapel services, daily prayer, and Scripture memory are not extracurricular — they are part of the normal rhythm of the school week. Students are not merely taught about God; they are invited into practiced, daily habits of walking with Him.
Teachers Who Model the Faith
Our faculty are committed Christians who understand their role as more than instructors. They are disciplers. Students watch them navigate difficulty with grace, pursue truth with humility, and love their students with patience — and that is part of the education.

Enrollment at Stephenville Christian Academy is both a privilege and a responsibility for Christian families. We do not say that to be exclusive — we say it because genuine Christian education requires genuine buy-in from the home.
We ask every enrolling family to share our commitment to a biblical worldview and to walk in active partnership with our staff. That means supporting the school's standards at home, engaging intentionally with your child's formation, and communicating openly with teachers when challenges arise.
Parents are not passive customers here. They are partners. And the families who engage most deeply are the ones whose children flourish most fully.
Partnership with the Church
SCA does not exist to replace the local church — we exist to support it. We serve families from a variety of evangelical church backgrounds, and we believe the church, the home, and the school are three institutions God has ordained to work together in the formation of the next generation.
We encourage every SCA family to be deeply rooted in a local congregation. The discipleship that happens on Sunday mornings, in small groups, and in family devotions is the soil in which the seeds planted at school take root and grow.
Our goal is graduates who walk into their churches as active, engaged members — not passive recipients who have outsourced their spiritual formation to an institution. We want young people who own their faith and live it out in community.
